Mark Allan Greene

Mark Allan Greene, age 60, of Owenton passed away Monday, May 16, 2022, from injuries sustained in an auto accident.

Born May 30, 1961, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Jimmie Bryant and Phyllis "Diane" Young Greene.  Mark was also preceded in death by his sister Dawn Greene. Mark was a lineman who retired from Owen Electric Cooperative. He was enjoying his retirement and was very proud of his storm work in both Haiti and Puerto Rico.   He enjoyed riding horses, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with his dogs, Casper and Daphne. Mark was a member of the Monterey Baptist Church.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Cindy Bruce Walker; his children, Talia Weinberg and Cole Greene; grandchildren, Levi Greene and Leryn Weinberg; his brother Michael (Vickie) Greene; his nephew, Wolfe Greene; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 10 am until Noon.  Memorial services will follow at Noon.  Memorial contributions may be made to Owen County Friends of Animals.
