Capt. Richard Scott Peck, age 40 and a resident of Warsaw Ky, passed away Thursday, June 17th, at his home. Born March 9, 1970, he was the son of Ricky Peck of Warsaw and Sandy King of Richmond, Ky. Scott was a Firefighter and Paramedic with the Gallatin County Fire and EMS and formerly served with the Irvine Fire Department, Walton Fire Department, Madison County EMS, and the Estill County EMS. He is survived by his wife, Shirley of Warsaw; step mother, Wanda Peck of Warsaw; one son: Daniel Masters of Warsaw; one daughter: Kaylon Peck of Irvine, Ky; one sister: Suann McGuire of Warsaw; and four brothers: John Peck and Tyler Peck both of Warsaw, Ky and B.J. King and Daaron King both of Richmond, Ky. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, June 21st from 4 to 8pm, at the Gallatin County High School Auditorium. Funeral services will begin Tuesday at 10am, also at the Gallatin County High School. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Warsaw Fire Department or the Irvine Fire Department. Officiating will be Stuart Dawson, Bob Heightchew, and Darrell Maines. Serving as pallbearers from Irvine Fire Department will be Tony Murphy, Randy Lovin, Justin Patrick, Jeremy Stewart, John Wise, and Jimmy Wise. Serving as pallbearers for the Gallatin County Fire Department will be Chief Barry Alexander, Deputy Chief Barry Alexander, Assistant Chief-Travis Simpson, Captain Dwayne Baum, Captain Brandon Terrell, Captain Nick Boots, Captain Jason Riddle, and Captain Jackie Caldwell. Arrangements are being handled by Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home-Warsaw.
