Zeda Hayes

Zeda Hayes, 80, passed away Tuesday Nov. 29, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood. Born July 31, 1931, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Stella Lusby Gordy and the widow of J.C. Hayes. Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Reva Mae Hayes and her sisters, Betty Jane Lloyd, Birdie Giles and Lula Mae Blackburn. Mrs. Hayes was homemaker. Surviving are her brother, Frankie Gordy and her sisters, Peggy Perkins, Christine Burton, Billie Cannon, Lucille Covey and Bonnie Sullivan. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, December 1st from 4 to 8. Funeral services will be at 11am Friday with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier presiding.
