Zachary Scott Asher

Zachary Scott Asher, age 26 and a resident of Greenup Road in Owen County, passed away Thursday, February 10th. Born November 1984, he was the son of Paul Smith Jr and Charlotte Asher Smith who survive. Zachary was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Jean Smith and his maternal grandparents, Wallie & Charlotte Asher. Zachary was a farmer and was enlisted in the United States Army. He is also survived by a brother, Brian Smith; and a sister: Jeana Smith; his paternal grandfather Paul Smith Sr. as well as 23 first cousins and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 13th, from 2 until 5pm at the Seminary Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday, February 14th, and will begin at 2pm. Rev, David Wotier will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
