Wilma Lee Beach Perkins

Wilma Lee Beach Perkins, 89, passed away Monday April 11 at the Owenton Center. She was born in Gallatin County. She was the daughter of the late James and Laura Speigel Beach. She was also preceded by her husband Harold, and her sisters, Frances Shinkle and Opal Collins. Wilma was a retired teacher and member of Owenton First Baptist where she volunteered in the life center, the migrant program, kitchen committee and Meeting the Needs ministries. She also was a homebound teacher and enjoyed singing and poetry. Surviving are her children, Douglas Jay (Irene), Carolyn Lee (Jim), Ricky Lane (Denise), Daryl Wayne (Ann) and Barry Lynn Perkins, nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Visitation is Friday Apr. 15 from 5 to 8 at Main St. The funeral is Saturday at 11AM at the Owenton First Baptist Church. Burial is in Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to Richland Youth Fund, Meeting the Needs, Owen County Children's Fund or Owenton First Baptist Church.
