William Leon Robbins, 75, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, December 9th at the Owenton Manor. Born May 5, 1934, in New Albany, MS, he was the son of the late Leon William and Margaret Weir Robbins. He was a retired construction worker and attended St. Edwards Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Peggy Pate Robbins; one son Todd Robbins of Glencoe; three daughters Kelly Perkins of Owenton, Gina Brown of Louisville and Jammie Gillis of Statesboro, GA; one sister Mildred Logsdon of Crestwood. Six grandchildren, Tara, Chad and Jared Perkins, Cameron Brown, Jessica Roberts and Brandon Gillis also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location, Friday, December 11th, from 11-1:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2pm Friday at St. Edwards Catholic Church with Father Gerald Witzemann presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
