William “Buck” Courtney, age 67 and a resident of Dayton Ohio, passed away Friday, October 30th, at the Hospice Center of Dayton. Born December of 1941, he was the son of the late John William Courtney Sr. and Ethel Rae Osborne Courtney. Buck was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilma May. Buck is survived by two sons: John William Courtney of Covington, Ky., Mike Scott of Dayton, OH; four daughters: Tami Barger of Erlanger, Ky., Teresa Houze of Crittenden, Ky., Brenda Diebold of Owenton, Ky., Tonya Strole of Dayton, OH; two brothers: Bobby Courtney of Florence, Ky., Monte Courtney of Reading, OH.; and two sisters: Norma Awbrey of Glencoe, Ky. and Karen Walker of Owenton, Ky. Thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Visitation and Funeral will be held at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw, Ky., on Tuesday, November 3rd, from 10am until 2pm. Funeral services will begin at 2pm. Bro. Bobby Courtney will be officiating. Internment will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Beach, Jimmy Patterson, Mike Strole, Jerry Lynn Webb, Morris Courtney, Jake Rider, and Randy Walker.
