Willetta Gaines Cooke

Willetta Gaines Cooke, 84, died Sat. Aug. 20 at the Owenton Manor. She was born in Owen Co. the daughter of the late Harrison Smith and Elsie Mae Rose Gaines. She was also preceded by her husband Bobby Fulton Cooke and siblings Charles and Ernest Gaines, Marcella New and Sue Henderson. She was retired from the State Transportation Cabinet and was a member of the Richland Baptist Church where she was in WMU and taught Sunday School. Surviving are her son, Paul Gaines (Joyce) Cooke, her daughters, Nancy (Mark) Criswell and Rosalie Rose, her sister, Renae Juett, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, August 22nd from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2pm. Memorials may be made to the Richland Baptist Church.
