Wilda "Elmo" Wilson

Wilda 'Elmo" Wilson, age 97, of Covington and formerly of Ft. Mitchell, passed away July 9, 2013. Born April 7, 1916 In Owenton, she was the daughter of the late Evan and Alice Gibson Lusby. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, George Wilson; her three brothers; three sisters and her grandson Greg Stapleton. Elmo was a homemaker and a member of Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church where she participated in the W.M.U. She was also involved in the Girl Scouts and Eastern Star. She is survived by her three daughters, Sylvia (Dale) Stapleton of Grand Junction, Colorado, Lou (Mitch) Frank of Evans, GA; and Lynn (Terry) Voorhees of Fishers, IN; two grandchildren, Terri (Curt) Rahm and Michael (Melissa) Frank and six great grandchildren, Ashley (Dave) Benakis, Taylor and Whitney Rahm, Joseph, Nicholas and Andrew Frank. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held from 12:30 - 1:30 on Thursday, July 18th at the Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church, 2323 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 with Bro. Terry Fields presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ft. Mitchell Baptist Church.
