Wilbur “Jack” Rider, 88 formerly of Warsaw, passed away on Tuesday at the Brighton Gardens of Edgewood. He was the son of the late John W. and Madge Edwards Rider. He was the husband of the late Virginia Polley Rider. He was also preceded in death by his brothers; Warren, Hampton, LeRoy and Everett J. Rider and sisters; Mary Hendron and Nell Wallace. Jack was retired employee of the Ford Motor Company. He also served his country in the United States Army during WWII and received a Purple Heart Medal. He is survived by his Son; Mike (Cindy) Rider of Delhi, OH,. One Sister; Louise Grant of Independence, KY., Three Grandchildren; Emily (Chris) Clayton, Sarah (Tom) Mahoney and Joseph (Maureen) Rider. Three Great-Grandchildren: Eva Mahoney of Joseph and Benjamin Clayton. Arrangements are being handled by the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Napolean Cemetery in Gallatin County. Donations may be made to the Hospice of the Bluegrass.
