Wayne Davis

Eldon "Wayne" Davis, age 72, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born December 10, 1947, in Frankfort, he was the son of the late Elwood and Mary Ida Clifton Davis.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Davis.  Wayne was a heavy equipment operator and retired from Richardson Contracting after 30 years of service. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed being Popal to all of his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of over 22 years, Teresa Kemper Davis; his children, Tammy (Eddie) Turner of Indiana, Tracy (Mark) Gray of Warsaw, Richard Wayne "Tater" (Ginger) Davis of Owenton, Charity (Butch Brumback) Humble of Owenton, Brandy (Chris) Michelletti of Indiana, and Gena (Ryan) McCormick of Owenton; grandchildren, Danielle (Ben) Davies, Corey Toole, Hunter Heilman, Paul Wayne Davis, Victoria, Jay, and Michelle Michelletti, Jullena, Kadence, and Kendall McCormick, Brent and Cory Turner and Kaylee; his great-grandchildren, Ellie, Gus, Marshall, Parker, Angellena "Smiley", Nora, CJ, Peyton and Kadience.  Wayne is also survived by his sisters, Susan (Jimmy) Gray, Pam (Doug) Criswell, and Marsha (Billy) Kemper; his uncle, Gene Clifton, and several nieces and nephews.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020, at 2 pm at Elk Lick Baptist Church with Bro. Jimmy Gray and Bro. Danny Duvall presiding.
