Waylon Hearne

Waylon Hearne, age 72, of Owenton, passed away, Saturday, February 22nd at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Born April 15, 1940, he was the son of the late William C. and Maranda Smith Hearne and was preceded by his sister, Judy Osborne. He was a member of the Poplar Grove Baptist Church. Waylon was a farmer and an avid hunter. Surviving are his wife, Judy Skirvin Hearne; his son, Willie Hearne of New Liberty; his daughter Monica Towles of Owenton; his sister, Dorothy Bruce of Lockport; two grandchildren, Brandon and James Russell Towles. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, February 25, 2013 from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1pm with Bro. Tom Hall presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society, 4340 East West Hwy Suite 350, Bethesda, MD 20814, the American Cancer Society or the Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
