Warren J. Batts

Warren J. Batts,86, died Wed. Jan. 6, 2010 at Norton Audubon in Louisville. He was born in Prestonville, KY the son of the late Leslie J. and Lucy Mae Sims Batts and was also preceded in death by his wife Virginia Mae Adams Batts whom he married on Sept. 23, 1948 and a brother Eugene Batts. He was a former taxi driver, furniture factory foreman and most recently retired from the CSX (former L&N) Railroad where he was a switchboard operator. Warren was a member of the English Baptist Church where he served as deacon and sunday school teacher. He enjoyed trapshooting, hunting and fishing. Survivors include two daughters, Donna(Richard) Wallace of Campbellsburg and Janice (Tim) Tritsch of Carrollton, one sister, Juanita Luckett of Bedford, two grandchildren, Crystal Tritsch and Cory Wallace. The funeral will be on Saturday Jan 9 at 1:00 PM and visitation starting at 11:00AM at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in English Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the English Baptist Church.
