Wanda Lou Winkle Stewart

Wanda Lou Winkle Stewart, an Owen County resident, passed away Friday in Louisville at the age of 60. She was born Jan 30, 1950, in Pendleton Co. the daughter the late James Winkle. She worked for Arvin-Meritor for 31 years, was a member of the Local 1813 UAW and Squiresville Baptist Church. She is survived by her companion of 23 years Larry Howard of Owenton; her mother, Helen Fredrick Winkle of Carrollton; two sons, Mike (Jennifer) Stewart of Carrollton and Mark (Lori) Stewart of Madison, IN; two brothers, Kenny (Jenny) Winkle and Wade Winkle of Carrollton; three sisters, Louise (Jerry) Beasley of Carrollton, Frances (Shawn) Chipman of Carrollton and Kathy (Fraser) Richards of Cabot, Arkansas; three grandchildren Ethan Michael, Zachary Andrew and Abigal Grace Stewart. A dear friend, Lucille Howard, and several nieces and nephews also survive her. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location, Sunday, June 6th, from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday with Bro. Craig Howard and Bro. Jerry Beasley officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Owen County Friends of Animals or the American Cancer Society.
