Wanda Lee Mills, age 90 of Owen County, Kentucky passed away on January 10, 2024, at Owenton Manor and Rehabilitation surrounded by family.
Born July 3, 1933, in Connersville, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Emily Moore. Wanda is preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert L. Mills, whom she was proudly married to for over 69 years. Also preceding her in death were her parents and siblings Mrs. Jean Doulen (George), Mrs. Lois Moore (Paul), Mrs. Eva Blanton ( John), Floyd Herman Moore (Erma), Jim Moore ( Phyliss), Raymond Moore (Nancy), Danny Moore.
Wanda will always be remembered as a loving Mom, Wife, Aunt, Sister in Law, friend, and godly woman. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when her family needed her. She also had many friends and was known for her compassion and kindness to others. She possessed a contagious smile and always found the positives in any situation. Throughout her life, she maintained a sweet demeanor that won the hearts of many. Robert and she raised five children and were taught from an early age to live Christian lives. Christ was the center of their home. They believed greatly in their children grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and always encouraged them to follow their dreams Wanda was very active in her church and shared her love of music through playing the organ, piano, and singing. Music was a large part of her life and she shared her Christian testimony through this. Wanda’s primary job was to be a homemaker and create a loving home for her family. She was a prayer warrior and believed in the power of prayer. Her passion for quilting and gifting them was evident to everyone around her. She was very proud of her family and always supported them.
She will be missed greatly by her children: Virgil (Patty) Mills, Dan (Barbara) Mills, Diana (Dan) O’Toole, Paul (Terri) Mills, Robert L (Bonny) Mills III; her grandchildren, Janelle (Jonathan) VanHoose, Jenny (Brad) Szink, Julie Edwards, David (Celeste) O’Toole, Daniel ( Kendall) O’Toole, Denny ( Karrina) O’Toole, Clinton ( Bethany) Mills, Brandon ( Megan) Mills, Wyatt (Priscilla) Mills, Dylan (Dana) Mills, Spencer (Leanne) Mills, Robert (Lee) Mills(Maddy)IV, Lydia Mills (Jacob Greenlee), Matthew Mills and Ben Mills: Great Grandchildren, Emily Esposito, Bella Esposito, Joseph Esposito, Alania Szink, Ava Edwards, Lyla Edwards, Jaclyn O’Toole, David O’Toole, Will O’Toole, Reese O’Toole, Beckham O’Toole, Daniela O’Toole, Micaiah Courtney, Aubree Mills, Colt Mills, Liam Paul Mills, Athey Mills and Jude Mills
Also surviving are sisters: Glenda (George) Tuttle, and Helen Jarnigan(John). Sister in laws, Rosalie Moore, Della Weis, and Ivy Mills. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and loved them all.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday at Pleasant Home Baptist Church in Glencoe. Burial will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North and memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Home Baptist Youth Group.
