Walton A Grisham, Jr.

Mr. Walton A. Grisham, Jr., 89, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Baptist Healthcare of Lexington. Junior was born in Owen County the son of the late Walton and Sadie Franks Grisham. He was the widower of Carolyn Stephens Grisham and was also preceded by two sisters, Sylvia Karsner and Beulah Wainscott and a nephew Billy Claude Karsner. He was a lifelong tobacco and dairy farmer. He served on the Owen County Fair Board as well as the boards of Peoples Bank, Owen County A.S.C.S., National Farmers Organization and Gallatin Co. Insurance. He was a member of Long Ridge Baptist Church since age 14. Surviving are his daughter, Pamela Grisham of Texas, a niece Janet Wainscott Hoskins of Florida and a nephew Robert Karsner of Frankfort. Visitation is Wednesday Feb. 18 from 4 to 8 and the funeral on Thursday at 2PM both at McDonald & New - Main St. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Jewish Voice Ministries International Outreach Fund or Long Ridge Baptist Church.
