Walter House

Walter House, 70 of Owen County passed away Sunday at his residence. He was the son of the late Albert Thomas and Mary Francis House. He was the husband of the late Lois Downey House. He was also preceded in death by his Grandson; Bennie Allen Smith. Walter was also a Farmer. Survivors include; two sons; Walter Thomas House Jr. of Owenton and Jerry Wayne House of Frankfort. Three Daughters; Connie Smith of London, KY, Kathy Roberts of Owenton and Charlotte Olds of Owenton. Two brothers; Frank House of Owenton and Vernon House of Lawrenceburg. Five sisters; Joyce Mattingly of Frankfort, Louise Traylor of Corinth, Alice Hammond of Owenton, Mary Martin of Owenton and Helen Alexander of Owenton. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at the McDonald and New Funeral Home on Main Street at 2pm. Visitation will be held Monday evening , also at main street from 4-8p.m. Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Jerry House fund or to a charity of choice.
