Walt Jones

Walter D. "Walt" Jones passed away Thursday, July 25th, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. BOrn July 14, 1934, in Revelo, KY he was the son of the late Louis and Loretta Jones. Walt has made his home in Owen County for over 30 years moving here from Eastern Kentucky. He made friends quickly as he and Sue operated a local gas station for several years before his retirement. He is survived by his wife Sue Morgan Jones; his brothers, Leonard and Dean Jones of Stearns, KY and his sister Shirley Stephens of Louisville. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Sue Would like to invite family and friends to gather at South Fork Baptist Church, Saturday , August 3rd at 3:00 p.m. to share memories and celebrate Walt's life. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. followed by a meal in the fellowship hall. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the South Fork Baptist Church.
