Mr. Wallace T. Braden, 87, of Corbin and formerly of Lexington and Owenton, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Corbin Health and Rehab Center. Born March 4, 1927, in the Harmony community of Owen County, he was the son of the late Luther and Hazel Covington Braden. He was preceded in death by his wives, Gladys LaRue Welch Braden and Cora Mae Jenkins Braden as well as his son Marion David Braden and sisters, Clara Margaret Freeze and Doris Goatee. Mr. Braden was a retire Farm Manager for Hamburg Place in Lexington. Surviving are his daughter, Debbie (William) Wood of Williamsburg; his step-daughters, Hattie Bramblett of Stamping Ground and Carolyn Sue Riddle of Cynthiana and his granddaughter Shonda (Joshua) Powers. Several nieces and nephews also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Monday, September 8th in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of one's own choosing.
