Virginia K. Johnson

Virginia K. Johnson, 94, passed away Sunday, October 19th, at The New Horizons Medical Center in Owenton. Born February 1914, she was the daughter of the late James and Maude Kemper Kersey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Johnson. Virginia was a former school teacher and member of the Owenton First Baptist Church. She is survived by her good friends: Ann Cook, Vicki and Danny Gortney, Kara Kistner, and a host of cousins. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 22nd, from 10am until 2pm at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services will begin at 2pm. Bro. Jesse Bourne will be officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church Family Life Center or the Owen County Library.
