Virgie Adams Sanders, age 100 and a resident of Warsaw and long time contributing writer for the Gallatin News, passed away Sunday, March 25th, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital. Born June of 1911, she was the daughter of the late William “Bud” Adams and Gertrude Clifton Adams. She was also preceded in death by her husband: L. G. Sanders; a son: William Carroll Sanders; a great granddaughter: Cassandra Beach and one great-great granddaughter: Angel Beach. Virgie is survived by a son: Sam Sanders (Pam) of Glencoe; one brother: Sam Adams (Dora) of Carrollton, Ky; and a daughter-in-law: DeEtta Sanders of Covington, Ky. Seven Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren and Ten Great-Great Grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 1st, from 1pm until 5pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will be held Monday April 2nd, and will begin at 2pm at the funeral home.
