Violet Mae Franks

Mrs. Violet Mae Franks, age 74, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Owenton Manor. Born December 29, 1938, in Owingsville, KY, sh was the daughter of the late Owen and Anna Maude Shrout Staton and was preceded in death by four brothers. Violet was a retired registered Nurse and worked for the Ashland Daily Independent newspaper. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Franks; her son, Ken (Carol)Franks; her daughter Kenda Rene Franks (Eddie) Bottoms and two grandchildren, Kenny Ray Franks and Kyser Bottoms. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 2pm Thursday in the Monterey Cemetery with Bro. Ronnie Graves presiding.
