Vicki L. Parker

Vicki L. Parker from Owenton, KY, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, far too soon, at the age of 64. She leaves behind her bereaved mother, Beverly Johns, brothers Rob (Angie) Parker, Joel (Leslie) Parker, Jett (Tracey) Johns, Dean (Donna) Johns, sister Leah (David) Tupts and her aunt Joyce Bibb. She also left behind several nieces and nephews, great friends and her beloved cat, Boots. Vicki was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louise and W. C. Rose, who she affectionately called Gaggie and Gagnanny, and her stepfather, Harry Johns of Owenton. Vicki was a talented woman and could play many instruments. She had a voice that could sell records. Her early years were spent as a DJ at a small radio station in Irvine, KY. Her friends would often gather and Vicki would entertain with her musical talents. She would also play guitar and sing with her brothers. She had a book of poems published. She was a big fan of UK basketball, loved nature, loved camping and animals. She had a horse named Smokey and always had cats around. To those who knew and thought of Vicki as a friend, the family wishes that you would consider donating to your local animal shelter or the Hope Center in Lexington, KY in her memory. Keep her memory alive by getting together and reminiscing about the "good ol days" and share your Vicki stories. A memorial service is being considered for mid May.
