Velma Jean Perry

Velma Jean Perry, age 67, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Owenton Manor. Born December 8, 1947 in Hazard, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen Combs Duff and was preceded ind death by her sister, Dorothy Duff. Velma was a Licensed Practical Nurse for Hazard Regional Medical Center and a member of the Owenton Church of Christ. Surviving are her sisters, Mable (Isaac) Maggard and Linda (Robert) Beams; her nephew, Richard Beams; her niece, Deborah Woosley; two great nieces, Cassandra and Ariel and two great nephews, Jacob and Richard. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, April 10th from 11am until 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Bro. Bill Dayton officiating. Burial will take place Monday at 10:30 at the Valley View Memorial Gardens in Hazard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owenton Manor Activities Fund.
