Tony Denny

David Anthony "Tony" Denny, age 78, of Owenton passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at his home.

He was born on March 13, 1943, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Lucian Bert Denny and Emma Katherine Fortner Anderson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Denny, and sister, Connie Lorhmann.

Tony worked most of his life as a carpenter. His favorite pastime was watching tv, especially sports with his friend Mark Stewart.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Carol Juett Denny; his son, Johnny (Rhonda) Denny; daughter, Joy (Brad) Botkins; granddaughter, Brittney (Chris) Smoot; great-grandson, John Paul Smoot; step-granddaughter, Jessica Botkins; great-grandchildren, Hannah Brooklyn, and Sawyer; brother, Russell Denny; special cousins, Joy Belle O'Banion and Denice (Rick)Schneider; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Respecting Tony's wishes, there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Owen County Friends of Animals , PO Box 234, Owenton, KY 40359.
