Thomas Floyd Dean, Sr.

Thomas Floyd Dean, Sr., age 71, of Owenton passed away on June 18, 2024, at his home.

A funny, very hard-working man, who loved his family and friends, he was a great storyteller who loved joking around.   He married his late wife Iva Betsy Kinman Dean in 1972, they were married for 35 years until she passed away in 2007. A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, father-in-law, uncle, and friend he is preceded in death by his parents Jay Robert and Mary Lou Beach Dean; his Wife Iva Betsy Dean; sisters, Sally Dean, Violia (Dean) Hensley; brother, Bo Dean;  son, Thomas Dean, Jr.; 2 grandchildren, Jasmine Marie Dean and James Thomas Russell Dean.

Left to mourn his passing are his children, Jaime (Ashlie) Dean of Owenton, Julie Ramirez of Stamping Ground, Elizabeth Tadeo of London; Grandchildren, Hailey Dean, Josh (Perrie) Ramirez, Gabe Ramirez, Martha (Cody) Ramirez, Joe Ramirez, Marvin (Perla) Edwards, Iva (Omar) Wagers; great-grandchildren: Briella, Leo, Lucas, Athena, Wes, Laydon, Lakota, Sydney, Leroy, Americus, Jeremiah, Malachi, Tyler, Roman, Avianna, Lealand, Atoro;  his sister Bonnie Kinman; brothers, Jackie Dean and Freddie Dean; and a host of extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are encouraged to cover funeral expenses.
