Thelma Burk

Thelma Burk, age 94 and a resident of Owenton, passed away Monday, September 8th, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood. Thelma was the daughter of the late Ellis and Ada Marksberry Burk. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Burk. Ms. Burk worked for the State of Kentucky, one of the Hospitals in Lexington, and worked in Cincinnati. She formerly held residence in Grant County and Cincinnati. Thelma is survived by a cousin, Verna Edmondson of Florence, and a nephew, Roy Marksberry of Owenton. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11th, from 11am until 1pm, at the Seminary Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services will begin at 1pm with Rev. Jesse Bourne officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hospice Center in Edgewood, Ky.
