Teresa Wagers

Teresa Wagers, age 59, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at her home.

Teresa was born July 2nd, 1965, in Owenton, KY, to Harold and Arnetta Wagers. She was a dedicated employee, working at Dairy Queen for 13 years as well as Meadowview and Walmart. Teresa began farming at a young age and found a passion for fishing and gardening. You could most likely find her on the front porch enjoying her crushed ice, coffee, and a smoke or in the kitchen cooking for her loved ones. Her children and grandchildren will always remember her chicken and dumplings and biscuits that she would make for them.

She will be missed by her children, Christine "Chrissy" Wagers, Phillip "PJ" (Jackie) Schaffer Jr; Her grandchildren, Destany Wagers, Michael Wagers, Allen Schaffer, and Isabella Schaffer; her special nephews, Liam and Jaxon; as well as a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Charlene Wagers and Sharon Byrd.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm with Bro. David Wotier presiding.
