Teddy W. Prather

Teddy W. Prather, age 63, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born November 7, 1957, in Owenton, he was the son of the late Curtis William and Anna Lee Raisor Prather. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Teddy, known affectionately to his family as "Teddy Bear" was a farmer.  He enjoyed tinkering with lawnmowers, waving at friends from his porch, and his dogs.  Most of all he enjoyed being a Papaw.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maurie Jacobs Prather; his children, Douglas Jacob, Tracy Hendren, Janet Maddox, Vicky Johnson, John Prather, Becky Becker, and Mary Lou Heitzman; twenty-two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as his siblings, Jerry Prather, Curtis Doug Prather, Penny Hemmingway, and Diane Clifton.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  No services will be held at this time.
