Tammy Sammons

Tammy Sammons, a cherished member of her community, passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on May 19, 1959, Tammy brought joy and warmth to everyone she met throughout her life.

Tammy was deeply passionate about animals, sharing a special bond with her beloved dog, Cookie. Her kindness extended beyond her personal life; she was known for her love of collecting gnomes, often showcasing them in her home, which reflected her whimsical spirit. She enjoyed going out to eat and was always up for watching movies, often sharing these experiences with family and friends.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Tim Sammons, who stood by her side through every joy and challenge. She leaves behind her siblings, Burl Howard, Raymond (Jennifer) Howard, Keith Howard, and Lori Howard, who will forever cherish the fond memories they created together. In addition, she is remembered by several nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her nurturing spirit and quick wit.

Tammy's life is also honored by the memory of her deceased family members. She was preceded in death by her sister, Valerie Anderson, and her parents, Lowell Howard and Delores Flinders Howard. Their love and guidance helped shape Tammy into the wonderful person she became.

A visitation will be held in her honor at New Funeral Homes located at 202 N. Main Street PO Box 474, Owenton, KY 40359, on December 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Following this, a funeral service will take place at the same location, starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place in the Beechwood Cemetery following services.
