Sylvia Carol Wash

Sylvia Carol Wash, 78, passed away Tuesday May 26, 2015 in Lexington. She was born in Owen County the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna Mary Poland Cornman. She was the widow of Allen Brooks Wash also preceded by her son, John Brooks Wash, her step father, Ty Cobb and her siblings Norma Riels, Dolores Parrish, Donald and Ronald Cornman and Cyrus Cobb. Carol was retired from the State Department of Education after 33 years. She was a member of the ElBethel Christian Church. Surviving are her daughters, Vicki Lynn Sheppard and Jennifer (Russell) Beach and her grandson, Jared Alexander Sheppard. Visitation is Friday May 29 from 11 til 2 with the funeral at 2PM at McDonald & New -Main St. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery and memorials may be made to ElBethel Christian Church.
