Sylvia Johnson Clifton

Sylvia Johnson Clifton, age 89 and a resident of Owenton, passed away Monday, April 19th, at the University of Louisville Medical Center. Born March 9, 1921, to the late Hubert and Mattie Dempsey Johnson, she was the widow of Lewis E. Clifton. Mrs. Clifton was a homemaker, a former Rebecca and a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by, her son Lewis J. (Connie) Clifton of Louisville; two grandchildren Chad (Traci) Clifton of Louisville and Brooke (Charlie) Moores of Clarksville, TN and one great granddaughter Ava Grace Moores. McDonald & New funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, April 23rd from 11am to 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
