Born August 7, 1946, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Kirby Taylor Green an dDora B. Shelton Green. Susie worked for over 30 years at Fruit of the Loom and retired from Itron. She was a member of the Pentecostal faith, loved flowers, family gatherings and spoiling her grandchildren.
Susie is survived by her husband, Frank House; her children, Debra (Ronnie) Gambrell, Christy (Damon) Ricketts and Tom (Shawn Wilson) House; her siblings, Melvin (Vicki) Green, Jerry (Vanita) Green, Larry (Patty) Green, Bill Green, Richard (Kelly) Green, Barbara Sharp, Anita (Milford) Sipple and Rhonda (Brian) Young; grandchildren, Ronnie, Nathan and Shelby Gambrell, Devin and Wesley Ricketts, Hailey and Bradley House and her great-grandchildren, Tucker, Cole Thomas, Warren, Destiny and Cameron. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, August 13th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday with burial in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Children's Fund.
