Stuart Watson

Stuart J. Watson, age 79 and a resident of Claxon Ridge in Owen County, passed away Friday, August 27th, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. He was born February 20, 1931 in Plaistow England and was a veteran of the British RAF. Stuart was a retired industrial diver and worked on oil rigs in the Persian Gulf. He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Elsia Coupling Watson and one sister: Joan Watson. Stuart is survived by his wife; Barbara Johnson Watson; one son: David Watson; one step son: Sandy Brown; three daughters: Sharon Smith, Christine, and Michelle; two step daughters: Jeanette McCormick and Cindy Walters. Nineteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive. A memorial service will be held at the family residence (2600 Claxon Ridge Road Owenton, Ky 40359) on Tuesday, August 31st, from 5 to 7pm. Arrangements handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes.
