Steven Jay Lilly

Steven Jay Lilly, age 58, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center.

Born March 24, 1963, in Frankfort, KY, he was the son of the late J.T. Lilly and Carol Goodrich Saylor who survives. Steven was affectionately known to his friends as Bird.   He was a former farmer and a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Bob Seger, and gardening.  His favorite pastime was playing Play Station and he always enjoyed a good whiskey.

In addition to his mother, Carol Saylor, Steve will be missed by his siblings, Tracie (Bobby Mason) Allen, Stacie (Derek Reever) Allen, Billy Hager, Kevin Lilly, and Tammy Robinson; his uncle and aunts, Joe Goodrich, Paula Lilly, and Shirley Minch; and several nieces and nephews, Savanna Hager, Brittany Allen-Waldrop, Bransen McKillop, Duncan McKillop, Sterling Waldrop, Beau Burke, Grant Reever, Bree Greene, Kaden Greene, and Korbin Trusty.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2021, from 4 - 6 pm.  A memorial service will follow at 6 pm with Chad Rose presiding.
