Stella Stewart

Stella Beatrice Greenup Stewart, age 91, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Gallatin Healthcare.

Born December 18, 1930, in Owen County, KY, she was the daughter of Robert and Anna Mikel Greenup. she was retired from Schlumberger as well as a lifelong homemaker. In her younger years Stella, enjoyed yard mowing, doing puzzles and sewing especially making her childrens clothing. She was an avid member of Hesler Assembly of God where she was the oldest member. Stella has been a volunteer for the clothing center for many years. She was preceded in death by her siblings; Lewis Greenup, Robert C. Greenup, Piercie Parrish, Flossie Wainscott and Eva Ruth, and her husband of 68 years Jerry Stewart.

Stella is survived by two daughters; Sheila Stewart, Pat (Gary) Gibson, three grandchildren; Daniel Herr, Chris Gibson and Kevin Gibson, seven great - grandchildren; Micah, Malachi, Jordan, Hayley Beth, Ethan, Anna Kate, and Sadie Claire as well as a host of extended friends and family.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, February 13, 2022 4PM to 8 PM at our Seminary Street location. Monday, February 14, 2022 which would have been their 69th Anniversary will be funeral services held at The Hesler Assembly of God Church at 1 PM.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hesler Assembly of God or Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
