Stella Mae Goodrich

Stella Mae Goodrich, age 47, of Gratz, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, following an extended illness. Born December 21, 1968, in Owenton, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Henry Smith, Sr. and Phyllis Chadwell Smith. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Marvin Goodrich, Jr. Stella was a homemaker and a devout member of the Gratz Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, attending yard sales, participating and fundraising in her church and all aspects of farming, especially tending to the cattle. Surviving are her husband Marvin Goodrich; her son, Patrick Goodrich; her siblings, Lisa Stewart and Floyd Henry Smith, Jr. as well as a host of friends and extended family. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1pm with Bro. Lewis Adams and Bro. Gary Hager presiding. Burial will be in the Mt. Minish Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gratz Baptist Church.
