Stacy Howard Perkins, age 47, of Galena, Kansas, tragically departed this life on June 25, 2019.
Stacy was an accomplished bird dog trainer, handler and horseman. The 2015-2016 field trial season was greatly rewarding for Stacy as a professional handler, when he was recognized as the handler of Purina Top Shooting Dog Award winner, white and liver pointer male World Class Cliff. Stacy also enjoyed notable success with Not’ta Snow Balls Chance, owned by Rex Garner, also of Pittsburg, Kanss., the majority of the dog’s fourteen wins in championship competition. Stacy was born and raised in Owenton, KY, but his base of operations as a bird dog professional trainer-handler was Galena, Kansas.
Stacy is survived by his parents, Park and Shirley Rose Perkins; his children, Stephanie (James) Crowe, Brittani Perkins Kermicle, Cheyenne Perkins (Brad) Wells, Ryleigh Rae Perkins; his grandchildren, Scarlett, Maci, and Bryce Crowe, Axl and Athen Kermicle, Masyn and Kynleigh Wells; His siblings Teresa (Tim) Howard, Chris (Denise) Perkins; Rodney (Amber) Perkins and Jennifer Perkins (Sam) Walker.
Stacy is also survived by several nieces and nephews (Tracy, Stacy, Adam, Grace, Kylee, Luke, Sammy Ray, Emily, and Maci) and cousins. A tragic loss of a loving father, son, brother and friend. Stacy will forever be missed. After while crocodile.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes will host local services. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Saturday, July 6, 2019, from 3-5pm. Memorial services will follow at 5 pm with Bro. Craig Howard presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
