Shirley Ann Sears

Shirley Ann Sears, age 58, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday, April 28th at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 28, 1956, in Whitley County she was the daughter of the late Arvilee Lawson. Shirley was a former Certified Nurses Aide and a member of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her mother, Anna Bowman Lawson; her daughter Christina (George) Hensley; her son, James (Danielle) Sears; grandchildren, Katie Hensley, Andy Sears, Valora Sears and Lilly Woods; her siblings, Billy (Loretta) Lawson, Randy (Donna) Lawson, Jeff (Paula) Lawson and Lisa Wilhoite. Several nieces and nephews also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A memorial gathering will take place at 2pm Saturday, May 2nd at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Bro. Gene Hill and David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church Youth Program.
