Sherry O'Banion Noel

Sherry Jane O'Banion Noel, age 77, of Frankfort, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born December 2, 1946, in the Greenup community of Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Cecil Tingle O'Banion.  She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Noel ad her sister Charlotte Collins. Sherry retired as a hairdresser after forty years of service, thirty-eight of those at Jan-How Beauty Salon.  She was a member of Old Cedar Baptist Church and enjoyed being with the people she loved.  She could often be found tending to her flowers, going fishing, and blessing those she loved with her shopping finds. Sherry also loved animals.

She will be missed by her daughter Jane Allyson (Steve) Wandel; her grandsons, Chance Jacob Wandel and Caden Bill Wandel;  and her friend and partner, Larry Vannarsdall.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 10 am until 12 noon.  A memorial service will follow at 12 noon  with Bro. Al Perry presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to Old Cedar Baptist Church.
