Sharon Deloris Byrd

Sharon Deloris Byrd, age 61, of Owenton passed away, Friday, January 21, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas.

Born August 26, 1960, in Owenton, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Arnetta Prather Wagers. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Gayle Byrd in 2009, as well as her sister, Charlene Wagers. Sharon was the manager of the electronics department at Walmart for many years. She enjoyed fishing, reading, flower gardening, and watching cooking shows.

Sharon will be missed by her children, Patrick Byrd and Valerie Byrd; her grandsons, Jaxon and Liam Byrd; and her sister, Teresa Wagers.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 11 am until 1 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Children's Fund.
