Sarah "Tink" Florian

Sarah F. “Tink” Florian, age 89 of Owenton, passed away Sunday, November 7th at her residence. Born March 19, 1921 in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Cora Coleman Cobb and was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Florian and siblings, Ty and R.C. “Newt” Cobb, Catherine and Mary Curtis Cobb. Mrs. Florian was a member of the Owenton First Baptist Church and a homemaker. She is survived by her daughter Sarah (Jamie) Jacobs of Owenton; her sisters, Bea Montgomery of Campbellsville and Ann Dietrich of Florida; two grandchildren, Shawn “Gus” (Mary Helen) Smith and Chad (Jean Allen) Smith of Owenton; four grandchildren, Tanner, Ty, Caroline and Michael Smith; four nephews, Richard, Bruce, Paul C. and Barry Cobb and four nieces Mary Lou Beasley, Cindy Hall, Clarissa Young and Paulette Tolbert. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, November 9th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday with Bro. Brad Banks presiding. Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to The First Baptist Family Life Center
