Sarah Cull Thomas

Mrs. Sarah E. Cull Thomas, age 93, of Gratz, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 at her residence, Born September 20, 1919, in Owen County she was the daughter of the late Garvey and Hallie Estes Cull and the widow of Raymond J. Thomas. With her husband, she owned and operated Thomas' Grocery for over 60 years. She was also a member of the Gratz Baptist Church. Surviving are her nephew Lannie (Wanda) Cull of Owenton; her niece, Barbara Sue (Burnham) McCormick of Hodgenville; her sister in law Beulah Cull and several cousins. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Tuesday, August 28th from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1pm with Bro. Wayne Kelley presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
