Sarah E Sammons

Sarah E. Sammons, age 76, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019, at the Grand Haven Nursing Home in Cynthiana.

Born December 10, 1942, in Corinth, KY, she was the daughter of the late Carl ad Lucinda Lay Delaney and preceded in death by her sister Eva Switzer. Sarah was a caregiver and a member of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by Herbert Taylor; her children, Debbie (Darell) Vance, Nancy Stidham, Charles (Kim) Sammons and Tim (Tammy) Sammons; grandchildren, Kimberly Vance, Natasha Fedrick, Cory Stidham, and Macey Stidham; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Abigail, Delina, and Carson. Also surviving are her siblings, Floyd Delaney, Rosie Mulligan, and Betty Richardson.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Beechwood Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Grand Haven Nursing Home.
