Ruth Lynn O'Banion

Ruth Lynn Beckham O’Banion, 67 of Worthville, passed away Thursday morning at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Born March 13, 1946, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Elizabeth Wilhoite Beckham. Also preceding her death were two sisters, Christine Combs and Mary Wynn and two brothers: Hershel Beckham and Mack Beckham. She was a retired housekeeping supervisor at the Owenton Manor. Surviving are her companion, Charles Johnson of Worthville; two daughters, Linda (Gary Taulbee of Worthville and Donna (Kash) Taulbee of Sanders; one brother, Johnny Beckham of Sanders, two sisters, Dorothy Fairchild of Sanders and Eva Mahoney of Owenton. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jessica, Becky, Roy Kash and Shannon Taulbee; Great-grandchildren, Ashley, Braylin, John Wesley, Sophia Ann and Matthew Dylan. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of services. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10am until 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
