Ruth Ann Emmert Coleman

Ruth Ann Emmert Coleman, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the New Horizons Medical Center. Born January 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Emery Myers and Hettye Elizabeth Myers Emmert and was preceded in death by her brother Donnie Emmert. Mrs. Coleman was a Homemaker and a former Nurses Aide. Surviving are her husband, whom she married on December 22, 1948, John Howard Coleman; her daughter Mary Alice “Maggie” (Chuck) Griffis of Lexington; her brother, Emery Myers Emmert, Jr. of Lexington; two sisters, Elizabeth “Beth” Cabe and Mary Catherine Henry of Lexington. Several nieces and nephews also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Sunday, November 27th from Noon to 2pm. Memorial services will follow at 2pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Flowers are welcome while memorial contributions may be made to the New Horizons Medical Center.
