Ruth Sanders Allnutt

Mrs. Ruth Sanders Allnutt, age 93, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, January 11th at the Tanbark Assisted Living in Lexington. Born April 8, 1918, in Monterey, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lou Ella Simpson Sanders. Also preceding her in death were her husband, H.T. Allnutt and her brother Ralph Sanders. Mrs. Allnutt was a former jewelry store clerk and Northern Kentucky Senior Services employee and was a member of the Owenton First Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter Dona (Walther) Freyberg of Lexington; her nephew, Dr. Michael (Mary Ann) Sanders of St. Augustine, FL and her nieces, Patricia Blackburn and Cynthia (Grant) Logan of Lexington. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, January 17 at the Seminary Street location. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Owenton Public Library or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
