Ruby Osborne

Ruby Franklin Osborne, 72, of Owenton, died Tuesday June 2, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood. Born October 18, 1936, in Grant County, she was the daughter of the late James and Romania Dunlap Cook and was preceded in death by her sister, Patsy. Mrs. Osborne was a Nurses Aide for many years at the Owen County Memorial Hospital and Three Rivers Home Health Agency. She was also a member of the Williamstown Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bobby Osborne; three daughters, Patty Barnes of Owenton, Regina Roedig of Warsaw and Debbie Jones of Monterey; two sisters, Betty Curtis of Mt. Sterling and Carol of Ohio; two grandchildren, Misty Woolums and Jessica Stivers and three great grandchildren, Kaitlynn Goodrich, Emma Pittman and Levi Stivers. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street Location on Thursday, June 4th, from 4-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Friday with Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
