Ruby Ann Harney

Ruby Ann Harney, age 73 of New Liberty passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at the New Horizons Medical Center. Born September 4, 1937 in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Eva North Coates Rodgers. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Freeman Rodgers. Mrs. Harney was a homemaker and a member of the New Liberty baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 55 years Harold Wayne Harney; her son, David Harney and her daughter Wanda Brown. Five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Saturday, August 6th, at 11am. Funeral services will follow at 2pm. Burial will be in the Wheatley Cemetery with Bro. Emory Eldridge presiding. Memorial contributions are suggested to the New Liberty Baptist Church.
