Ruby Dean Bramblett, age 89, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022, at her home.
Born February 2, 1933, in Gallatin County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gratia Kemper Skirvin. She was the widow of Lloyd Bramblett and also preceded in death by her siblings, Geneva Spenneberg, Evelyn Ballard, Bobby Skirvin, and an infant brother, William. Ruby was a homemaker and a member of the Long Ridge Baptist Church. She worked for several years for Dr. Scholls, Schlumberger, and Itron, also. Ruby loved family gatherings and being MawMaw Ruby to her grandchildren. When she was younger she enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing her children's clothes, and fishing with Lloyd.
Ruby will be missed by her daughters, Denise (John Murphy) Ellis and Vickie (Don Harlow) Craig; her grandchildren, Logan Justis, Craig Miller, Rodney Miller, Miranda Miller, and Quentin Ellis; great grandchildren, Kinley, Bentley, Kane, Nora, Elliot, and Allison; and her siblings, Betty Harrison, LJ Skirvin, Nancy Howard, Judy Hearne, and Brenda Martin.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 11 am - 1 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Bro. Jeremy Warren presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the Owen County Public Library.
